Nem nướng Hữu Lũng
Grilled fermented pork
Pork left to ferment for a few days, then grilled over charcoal in banana leaves and eaten with dill and a sweet-sour dip.
Region 08 · Lạng Sơn Province
The hidden steppe.
About the region
This isn’t a manicured national park; it’s a raw, shifting geographic anomaly. The Đồng Lâm steppe is a massive valley that literally changes its state of matter. In the dry season, it’s a sprawling prairie with free-roaming wild horses and jagged rock climbing routes. In the rainy season, it entirely floods into a massive, mirror-like lake. It is completely isolated, rugged, and completely dictated by the weather.
